You Capture: reaching

Photobucket

I'm discovering that even on weeks when I don't do so hot capturing the essence of the You Capture theme (reaching is today's), I still can work to expand my photography and editing skills.

So here goes, I'm not in love with them all, but I learned a lot (whether or not it um, shows).

Bear and I had a camera play date: he got to ham it up a bit while demonstrating his reach, I got to experiment with my point and shoot.

He did well with the hamming it up, No?

Sterling tends to sleep with one paw reaching out.  Must be to guard her place on the bed.

That's all I got for today, but there is an community of amazing bloggers and photographers over at Beth's blog.  Go check them out for more "You Capture"moments.

I'm not much of a dog lover... but the pic of your dog sleeping with his paw reaching out is priceless!

Awww Bear with his little leg sticking out is so flippin adorable. Great job chica!

Is that a teething necklace? My girlfriend swears by them. Although I'm sure Bear has all his teeth in so probably not a a teething necklace. der... just ignore me. LOL!

No, no, you're right Alita! Bear's worn that necklace since he was about 3 mos old. It's made out of amber and (besides looking so cute on him) is supposed to help with teething and crankiness. I think it's doing a brilliant job :)

First off... I love Bear's face in the black and white shot!

Second... as much as I whine and complain about my point and shoot, I've learned a lot about getting the best shots possible with what I have. I've learned to take it off of auto and use it's very limited manual functions. I'm still working it all out and I'm still hoping for my big girl camera, but it has been a good experience.
