Christmas time part 1

{funky picture of our Christmas tree}

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree,
Your boughs can teach a lesson
That constant faith and hope sublime
Lend strength and comfort through all time.
O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree,
Your boughs can teach a lesson.
~ "O Tannenbaum"

Christmas delivered as promised: a most magical time with a 6yr old and 3 yr old in the house!  Even more than that, it was a time chock full of family, friends, and bear hug love.  Christmas this year made it easy to recognize our blessings; especially when visiting with Grandad.

Bear's school concert kicked off our Christmas season in a most festive way, with some of his favorite people surrounding him.

No kidding- Santa rode upon a fire engine, down my parent's street. It was astoundingly awesome!

Then we switched over to Champ's side of the family.  A larger, therefore louder bunch.  They didn't have any Santas riding through their neighborhoods, but they had hugs to give and stories to tell, and that was just as good!

and when Christmas Eve arrived, we polished ourselves up and headed to church.  Afterwards, the boys opened their Christmas Eve pjs and we began the evening trek back to Vermont.

 Did Santa eventually catch up with us?  Well, that's a post for another night...

Oh wow! How do you sign your neighborhood up for these? My friends have mentioned fire trucks with candy, too. I much prefer that kind myself ;)

You are right! Every neighborhood should have a committee to mandate how to use fire trucks to spread happiness and good cheer :)
